I am a genuine bass with a reliable range from low Db to top Eb. I have excellent sight-reading and a broad knowledge of church and concert repertoire. Started out as a chorister doing the twice-daily services at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle; then daily services at Magdalen College, Oxford as an undergraduate.
In London I have sung regularly at St George’s Hanover Square, St Mary’s Bourne Street, The Royal Hospital, and Temple Church. I am now the resident bass on Sunday mornings at St Mary Abbots in Kensington, where I have been in the quartet for the last nine years, working with Mark Uglow. So I am available to cover mid-week, Saturdays, and Sunday evenings elsewhere.
Solo concert work has included much of the standard classical repertoire of Bach, Handel, Haydn, Purcell, Mozart and Beethoven, plus the work of many 20th and 21st century composers.
